Its been a long time! I’ve been busy though. I’m going to get back into my website. Its not a new year resolution or anything I’m just getting sick and tired of social media and its algorithms that push us under the radar even more. That said take time to look at my instagram
So tomorrow on tour with Zarboth! Our new album (with artwork by yours truly) which is a two track album SIDE A and SIDE B is available worldwide through bandcamp here
The two tracks are Underground River which is about the vital force in all of us, that a lot of us don’t see or want to see… and Putain Putain which is the B side asks the timely question what does it mean to be European. This is a track that we all look forward to playing in Switzerland, that most European of non European countries.
Who knows what Europe means anymore? We don’t!
This song Putain Putain is a cover version of a song by TC Matic with the Belgian singer Arno- there are some lyrics in Flemish. I threw a Beastie Boys rap into the mix, just go and check it out. Hope you enjoy the sound.
And so tomorrow we take all of this to Switzerland – come and see us if you live there and put the word out to others who might like to come and see us. Here are the dates:

I have been a bad blogger- I spend most of my time on Instagram where I am throwing up a drawing or a film nearly every other day.
Macdara on Instagram
I should try and do that here more often. I did take a new year’s resolution where I said that I would write a blog post here every week. Maybe I will get back to it sometime.
Honestly though, working, making art and raising a family, just makes these things slide.
Here instead is some news before this special weekend.
I’m in a great mood to be doing two dates with Zarboth
We are playing Bourges on Friday 21st April at the Printemps de Bourges (OFF) à L’Hexagone, 11 rue des trois bourses, 18000 Bourges, France
And Saturday 22nd April in Les Hirondelles 2 Place sous l’Orme, 89450 Asquins, France.
On Sunday I’ll be playing with the equally fabulous Onze Onze
We are playing at the MOFO festival in Mains d’Œuvres but come early!
Here is the video (by Auriane Legendre) from our upcoming EP Things Falling…
End of One Thing, Beginning of the Next…
Just arrived home from Zarboth tour. We’ve been touring over the past couple of months, going on the road for three or four days at a time.
Maybe in another post I’ll go into some of the adventures we’ve had, but tonight I am tired. So tired… but happy.
I have a bit of an accent when I speak French so people often ask me where I come from and I usually tell them “Limoges.” This is my idea of a joke and usually no one believes me when I say I am from this French town.
Limoges has always seemed to be a rather sleepy provincial town to me. So it was great to have all my preconceived notions blown away by playing the last date of our tour in Limoges. Also lots of people from Limoges helped us with this video.
The concert was great, we played in the El Doggo, for the Festival Pop Sur La Ville- it was great to see friends who had come to see us, some from the earliest parts of the tour.
And in Limoges whenever I said I was from Limoges nobody mentioned my accent. So there! A lot of great friendly people and unfortunately we had to leave quickly… But I can’t wait to go back!
Christmas and Music
Two out of three members of Zarboth hate Christmas so if you have any other members of your family or friends who hate Christmas don’t hesitate to get the album.
Unfortunately we also ran out of CDs and vinyl records when we were on the road.
You can find them all here.
That is the album that I am on of course.
And if Zarboth is not your cup of tea maybe you could try Onze Onze ?
Have a good week! And remember keep on making things!
